Shawarma Chicken Kitchen Hack ‼️ Meal Prep Mondays EP2. Follow @the.foodie.analyst for more! I love making shawarma but it can create quite the mess, but this hack will save you from that! Plus it’s great for prepping and you can use the chicken in wraps or salads throughout the week to mix up your meals! Save the full recipe below ⬇️ Ingredients: 1.1kg boneless, skinless chicken breasts 4tbsp olive oil 150g Greek yogurt 6tsp minced garlic 2tsp minced ginger Half a lemon juiced, (approx 4tbsp) 2.5tsp smoked paprika 2.5tsp ground cumin 2tsp dried oregano 2tsp onion powder 1.5tsp ground coriander 1.5tsp salt 1tsp ground black pepper Instructions: 1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 200C (fan) 2️⃣ Slice the chicken breasts in half to create thinner breasts 3️⃣ Add the thinly sliced chicken breasts to a bowl along with all the ingredients listed above. 4️⃣ Mix to coat well, then let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or preferably, overnight for better flavour 5️⃣ Use a non-stick loaf tin (lightly grease it with olive oil if necessary) and add the marinated chicken slices snugly into loaf tin. Make sure to fit snugly and form a compact layer 6️⃣ Cover the loaf tin with foil (& poke some small holes on top) and oven bake for 25-30 minutes, then remove the foil and continue cooking for 10-15mins more, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender 7️⃣ Once the chicken is done, let it rest in the tin for a 5 minutes to absorb the juices, then flip over carefully, and slice it up 8️⃣ You can serve the chicken in wraps or with salad to have during the week!
