The sky is not the limit, your belief system is. When I first discovered yoga I kinda figured that at some point, with consistently dedicated practice, I’d arrive at all of the answers to my countless questions, know everything there was to know in the universe, get stronger, more limber and so perfectly balanced no harm could ever touch me and I’d probably even become enlightened too. 😂 It all sounds pretty arrogant and naive now, but at the time I felt sincere in these beliefs, as well as the other big belief I held, that if everyone in the world practiced yoga we’d live in utopian perfection. Now I see more of what Krishnamurti meant when he said “The sky is not the limit, your belief system is”. As my practice evolves, yoga becomes an experience of un-learning, knowing less and less, becoming softer and gentler, more open and receptive, more liberated from clinging to any one thing and trusting in life’s nuances, intricacies and transformations.
