After I came to the USA. I came to the US to pursue my dream around 7 years ago. From a young age, I’ve aspired to work in the field of biotechnology. Coming to the U.S., I was fortunate to secure a position at a biotech company, where I’ve been able to contribute to helping countless people, especially in these past couple of years during the COVID pandemic. My journey wasn’t without its hurdles. I spent nearly a whole year job hunting and resided in a rather precarious shared hotel in SF all by myself. It was a mere $29 per night, but what struck me the most was the prevalence of homelessness and drug-related issues in downtown SF. When I first arrived, I was faced with a language barrier that prevented me from even ordering a cup of coffee. Improving my English quickly became a top priority. Alongside this, I embarked on a journey of self-sufficiency, learning to cook, drive, and try to survive in this new country. Over time, I gained the confidence to give presentations in front of native speakers and began exploring the USA, diving into new experiences and forging connections. In the midst of it all, I crossed paths with my husband, and together, we set out on a new chapter of our lives.
