TW: Needles I had prepared myself for progression, but not quite this much. For the first time in 5 years my mets have packed their bags & moved to a new establishment called ‘Hotel Liver’ Fuuuuuuuuuuuu&ck!!!!! Oh and to add to mix, my platelets are 24! YEP 24!!! Oh and I’m neutropenic 🤦🏼‍♀️ seriously can’t make it up! In order to move onto any kind of treatment my bloods need to start behaving, that means doing the injection in this reel (Romiplostin), the last time I had one of these my pain went from a 2/3 to a 20, it was the most pain I’ve ever felt, so being told I have to do it again alongside 5 days of GCSF’s (white blood boosters which are also cause bone pain) well I simply broke down BUT! This time we are better prepared, my hospice team are on hand & aware what I’m going into, this is why hospice care is so important as they are the pain management pro’s!! Aaaaaaaand, now that I have mets in an organ it could open up some clinical trials!!!!! One of the main reasons I’ve not been eligible is because all my disease was contained in bone, so not all bad news 👍🏻 So we are saying goodbye to carboplatin & hello to, well we aren’t sure yet.
