This year has been devastating for Canadians across the country dealing with wildfires, and the news of the evacuations in the Northwest Territories is only the latest in this record-breaking fire season. To hear so many communities affected including the evacuation of the city of Yellowknife, which is home to over 20,000 residents, is truly heartbreaking. I had the privilege of visiting the city on a trip north a few years ago and really enjoyed my time exploring this unique region and witnessing a magical display of aurora as it danced in the night sky.
