Can we talk about The Last One? You know, @willrdean’s latest mindfuck of a book? Imagine going to sleep on a transatlantic passenger ship with your boyfriend and waking up the next morning to a deserted oceanliner. No boyfriend. No luggage. No food. No drinkable water. Just you…in the Atlantic Ocean, alone. Unless you’re not really alone… Holy emotional support Stanley full of ice cold water - this book shooketh me to the core and I could not stop flipping the pages to find out what the eff was happening and who the eff was making it happen. When I got the very ending, I just laughed out loud and the chaos and anxiety that had driven me through almost 450 pages in 4ish hours. This literal locked room (ship?) story made me dip into my ashwagandha to calm the flip down.
