I said it would sneak up, it always does, but my goodness! It is hot. 😵‍💫 We have sunburnt cheeks and my flower pots need daily watering… I am so happy to see so many flowers in bloom but it does also come with worry, about our summer ahead and the climate beyond our backyard as well. We have started cutting daisies, taking care to cut stems that are nice and sturdy. I love this time of year when the daisies start, the bulbs keep blooming, and the other cottagey self seeders have joined as well. I will cut Rhodanthe chlorocephala sub rosea stem by stem, allowing the plants to continue to send up more blooms. For Rhodanthe manglesii, we wait until the plant is in full bloom and cut the entire plant at the base. I am working hard to keep up with my cell trays – because this year I’m focusing on succession – replacing and continuing to grow for as long as I can – maybe well beyond Christmas if I can keep up.🤞🏼🌼🌸 Hope you are well.
