I spent a large part of my life chasing eternal summer. Constant sunshine, warmth and light. In total resistance of the dark, the still and the cold that comes with winter. Totally naive to the magic, growth and potential for transformation that winter holds. We can’t have one without the other. Nothing in nature is ever in full bloom and it’s silly to think that we ever could be too. I’m no longer afraid of the darkness that winter holds. I now know that we need the stillness and periods of hibernation to renew and bloom again.
