Here’s my answer👇 Technically, both are correct and this is the paradox of the meditation journey. It’s the reason why my teacher says: “To teach about enlightenment is to mislead people, but to fail to teach about enlightenment is also to mislead people.” - Shinzen Young On the one hand, if you explain the path of meditation as a journey with a goal, then you cut people off from the innate freedom and truth that is already present in every new moment. But on the other hand, if you explain to people that everything is already perfectly unfolding according to the laws of nature and they’re simply a part of that flow (a localised reflection of the whole) then you’ll fail to motivate them to truly see, feel and embody that realisation. However, the problem goes away if you appreciate the paradox as it is.
