Antelope hunt comes to an end today. Yesterday I connected on a great buck at 520 yards with one shot. Then this morning I connected on another great buck we were actually hunting yesterday morning. He kept out of range and kept giving us the slip. We kept finding them, but could not get close enough for a shot. This morning we went after him again and found him and about 50 does. They started easing up the mountain just like the day before. It was either take a shot, or say goodbye again. I asked @nevadahuntingservices to range him. He did. 740 yards broadside. I shoot a very simple @leupoldoptics 3-14X Boone and Crockett reticle. I am zeroed at 300 yards and at the bottom of the post I am good for 600 yards. I estimated the hold over and and hit with the first round. On the last slide you can see my dope sheet for my .300 Win Mag. Dialed in with the help of my buddy @jimthekraken1 This was the longest shot I’ve ever taken on game. I feel confident with this rifle. Randy Fite built Remington 700 action. Been shooting it since 2008. Two great antelope that I will enjoy eating very much. What a fucking hunt. We didn’t see shit for a long time. Two great antelope bucks and the hunt of a lifetime.
