Pageant week photo dump💋 *** Signing up for the Miss Universe Canada pageant while rehabbing my ACL and meniscus was the best thing I could have done for myself. 🙏🏼 When I first had ACL surgery, I was feeling very positive and eager to rehabilitate and return to the ring as fast as possible, but then I found out I needed another surgery. I felt totally defeated and sat at home going crazy, I needed something to focus on- a distraction, a challenge, or in my case… a beauty pageant. 👸🏻 Working towards competing in Miss Universe Canada gave me focus, and helped me get myself into shape for the pageant stage AND the ring simultaneously. 💪🏼 Not only that, but I really dug deep and learned so much about myself as a person. I really had to work to answer questions about who I was, what I stood for, and what mark I want to leave on this planet, and through this whole experience- I have found my answers. 🕊️🙏🏼 🥹💕Never in my life have I felt more confident and sure of who I am. I feel strong, inside and out and am so grateful to have had this experience and to have grown so much on this ACL rehab and pageant prep journey. 💖 I am so proud of myself and feel so complete, it’s a peace that I intend to hang onto. Along this whole process, I have encountered so many kind and amazing people that I am proud to have learned from in any capacity.
