READ CAPTION Crazy, I’ve never experienced this kind of thing before in all my solo travels. So I was hunting for accommodation, the first one didn’t haven any hot shower so I left. Second place is wild. Hotel Satya International in paharganj Delhi - Cost $25 - Dude showed me the room, it wasn’t the best but I was tired so I said yeah I’ll stay. Later we went down and I have my passport to check in. He asked me where I was from, my passport is from The West but my ethnicity is from Africa. I’m somali. He then asked if that was in Europe before I laughed and said no, it’s in Africa. When he heard the word Africa his face changed 😨 and then he Denied me accommodation He then proceeded to explain that Africans are not welcomed before pointing at the drug policy on the wall behind him. The man besides me (who ironically followed me from the street trying to sell me dope ) explained to me that they don’t want drugs inside their hotel. Rich coming from him yeah 🥲 Anyways, wasn’t worth the hassle so I left with my dignity, such is life we say back home eh Just want to make clear, this isn’t the whole of India, this isn’t the whole of Delhi.
