✨younger self ✨ you are not as old as you think you are. life still has so many more adventures, hardships, pain and happiness ahead. learn from all you have experienced so far but do not attach yourself to it. let it go. people will judge you and not everyone will like what you have to say but don’t water yourself down appealing for people’s approval. you don’t need everyone to like you. find the ones who will disagree with you but who know that you don’t have to agree on everything to love one another. love yourself but be aware of your faults. you will only grow when you accept responsibility for your actions. you make every decision that is presented to, don’t blame others or past experiences for the outcomes. you have to be present. don’t allow yourself to live in the past, don’t beat yourself up for the mistakes you made. you should have, you would have but you didn’t. forgive yourself. now is the opportunity to be who you want to be. beware of toxicity but don’t become paranoid. allow yourself to trust and be vulnerable. sometimes it will work out and sometimes it won’t. pick your battles. but don’t always walk away with things get hard. some will be worth fighting for. be happy for everyone. jealousy or judgement only makes you bitter and anger. some times you won’t agree with how people do things to further themselves. it doesn’t matter. nobody else’s journey needs to bother you. take motivation from the ones who inspire you instead. sometimes you will be ahead and sometimes you will be behind. don’t lose your spark. be enthusiastic about everything. you have an ability to feel everything so intensely. allow it to be a blessing and not a curse. don’t give up. keep building that life you dream of. its not too late and if one ships sails…what will be will be! . . . . #wordswordswords #mymusings #mentalhealth #growth #youngerme #expatlife #lifeinportugal #irishabroad
