My first quilted coat adventure has come to the end. I have learnt a lot along the way. Would I make another one? Yes! But may be not too soon😊 Fabric: Marimekko scraps (exterior), Marimekko cotton Kurjenmarja (lining) Thread: Aurifil 50wt for piecing, 40/3 wt for machine quilting, 12wt for hand quilting Batting: Hobbs Premium Cotton (2 layers on the front and back, 1 layer on the sleeves) Pieced and quilted on Pfaff Quilt Expression 720. Pattern: based on a pattern from Finnish magazine with major alterations 😊 I intentionally picked the kimono style. Marimekko fabrics shine perfectly in that slmple form. The result exceeded my expectations.
