August photo dump! ☀️ ✍🏼 The #Classof2027 @urvacollege class flag was revealed at Investiture, welcoming our new Spiders who started the new year together by signing the honor code. 🏒 @urichmondalumni ice hockey team (and friends) won their 3rd Boom Boom Cup Championship in Nashville, TN! ❤️ @tylerhartcyfair, '01, C'05, C'15, principal of Yeager Elementary School in Houston, TX, was surprised by his staff showing #SpiderPride during their first "College Day Wednesday." ✈️ @pepesm03, '27, and Cecilia Cortes Mir, '27, both Spiders from Spain, arrived on different flights, and met at the @flyrichmond welcome desk. 🐾 @mollie_fenn16, '26, had a summer internship as a veterinary surgical assistant at Anne Arundel County Animal Care and Control outside her hometown of Annapolis, MD. “Every day is different” says Mollie, “you’re never quite sure who’s going to show up or what kind of medial care they’re going to need. And, because we’re a shelter, no animals are turned away; they come in, we treat them, and then they’re put up for adoption." 🎊 Our 3rd annnual #URichmond Spider Drop kicked off the new school year! 🌴 Matthew Eley, ’14, sent a #SpiderSpotting, saying: "I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of my 2010 Spinning Your Web (a now defunct freshman program that had a Leadership 101 pairing) t-shirt. Most recently, it was with me on a trip to Venus Beach in Tahiti, French Polynesia." 📦 We welcomed (and welcomed back) our Spiders with a successful campus move-in thanks to so many awesome teams across campus!
