Multiple juries of everyday Americans have indicted the former MAGA President Donald Trump for his criminal conspiracy to overturn the will of voters, from inciting supporters to deadly violence on January 6th to asking government officials to falsify votes. But MAGA Republicans are still scheming to help him evade legal consequences while they continue to seize power by any means necessary. In Arizona, two of the MAGA conspirators, Anthony Kern and Jake Hoffman, still hold elected office, making laws for our state. Others, like failed candidate for Secretary of State Mark Finchem, continue to use their positions to deliberately spread lies as part of the larger conspiracy to grab power and institute rule for the wealthy few, from Congress, to the Courts, to the states. But in our democracy, voters have the freedom to elect our leaders – a foundational right we must protect. These MAGA conspirators need to be held fully accountable for trying to overturn the will of the people.
