Francis Massacre 土曜日です。皆さんいかがお過ごしですか。こちらはPILのアルバム｢フラワーズ・オブ・ロマンス｣のUK版カセットテープです。84年に出た2ndプレスです。 僕の知り合いにPILを、というかジョン・ライドンを心から愛している男性がいます。すべて捧げている。彼はジョン・ライドンと同世代で、1977年より起きたパンク・ムーブメントもここ日本でリアルタイムで体験しています。今でもPILが来日するたびに足を運びます。 僕は彼が話してくれる当時の話がとても好きです。雑誌やインターネットでは知りえない、味わえないような、｢生｣の声というような、あれを聞くたびにゾワゾワと、まるで仏様からの言葉を一言一句聞き逃しまいとする舎利弗の気分とでも言おうか。 彼は普段からいかにもパンクな格好かと言えば、そうでなく、反対にむしろ目立たないくらいに質素な服を着て風景に溶けこむ。押し殺したようなシルエット。いつも穏やかな口調で話し、よく噛み、あんまり目を合わせず、本当にやさしい。 そんな彼だけど、いざジョン・ライドンの話題になると途端にざわつきだす。いっきに緊張感が増す。目線がまっすぐ僕を見る。｢好きなものを持っている｣人は本当にかっこいい。そして強いとおもう。 #PublicImageLtd #TheFlowersOfRomance #cassette #カセット
