We went to Portugal and had an amazing time! First, we visited Algarve, which is in the south. The beaches there were so beautiful, with golden sand and clear blue water. We took boat tour to Benagil caves and loved it. We tried delicious seafood at few restaurants. Next, we headed to Lisbon, the capital city. It was full of colorful buildings and historic sites. We explored the narrow streets and tasted the famous custard tarts called “pastéis de nata.” We also visited the historic Belém Tower. Exploring the historic neighborhoods of Alfama and Bairro Alto, we wandered through narrow cobblestone streets, admiring the colorful tiles and charming architecture. Our last stop was Porto, in the north. Porto is famous for its wine, so we did a tour of a wine cellar and tasted some Port wine. We visited Douro valley where we sampled world-famous port wine and learned about its production. The city had charming old neighborhoods and a stunning bridge called Dom Luís I Bridge. Throughout our trip, the people were friendly, and the food was fantastic. We enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and the rich culture of Portugal.
