20 mile run ✅ Just going to be honest and say that this run didn’t go the way I had hoped. Maybe should’ve known that it would be a grind when I went to start my watch and somehow ended up starting my watch on downhill ski, not run 🤦🏻‍♀️🫤. It took me almost a mile before I noticed it, so of course I had to start from where I was. That just messed me up mentally because I kept thinking where my mileage should’ve been versus what it said on my watch. My legs felt good, but it was one of those runs where you feel like you’re going a certain pace, and then look at your watch and going slower. I tried to just focus on maintaining a moderately easy effort, but I kept getting frustrated when my effort didn’t translate to what I thought the pace was. While I would’ve liked my pace to have been a little better, I finished. It was a grind more so mentally, so definitely happy when I hit mile 20. Left part of my soul on the sidewalk post run, along with a good amount of sweat…like for real, when is this Fall weather going to get here? Post run ice bath was much needed.
