Wowow. Big win today. So the locker room is my least fav place in the gym. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I get in my head about how other women perceive me….Do they feel safe? Do they feel I’m not supposed to be in there? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All of these thoughts that kept my head down, breath held and feet fast af. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m realizing that those thoughts are from my beliefs of who i am based off my past (I’ve gotten a LOT of looks + comments on my appearance as a woman). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All of this created shame in my body. I’d change in the stalls, rush my time + avoid confrontation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ SO today y’all was different. I went in the steam room w no sports bra hehe, took my time + reminded myself to feel secure in every moment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I stayed open to myself and others. Randomly (not so randomly hehe) I ended up having 3 meaningful conversations while I was in there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I realized no one is out to get me. When you open your heart, others do too. It’s not about how you look, it’s about your energy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So when I felt myself tensing up, my skin getting hot, me wanting to avoid a moment - I breathed. I breathed into the moment, supported myself and stayed open. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Try this because it unlocks new levels of love and connection with yourself and others #ScaredButAlive #FighterProgram #iykyk
