When that series ended, I was hoping that one specific character would get the ending he deserved and while I didn’t *quite* get that, I was happy to see that we’re getting much more of him than we did in the original trilogy. ⁣ ⁣ In THE BROTHERS HAWTHORNE, the focus is on Jameson and Grayson as they try and solve two of the many riddles and puzzles that make up the backbone of this series. This book incorporates several characters that were introduced in The Final Gambit, and Jameson and Grayson are working together to try and protect them. Avery and the other 2 brothers are also in this book, but Jamie and Gray — and their often strained relationship — is definitely the star of this one. ⁣ ⁣ The ending alludes to more to come from the Hawthornes, and I have my fingers crossed that Grayson will get the happiness he deserves. Definitely pick this one up if you’re wanting more from this fantastic world and this delightfully close-knit and dysfunctional family. 4 stars.
