HIGH PROTEIN BIRTHDAY CAKE 🎂 A soft sponge cake, with a creamy and high protein vanilla yogurt filling, topped with colorful sprinkles ✨ Ingredients: (1 small cake, 4 servings)⁣ Base:⁣ ▪️Egg whites (70g / 2 medium)⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ▪️Flour (30g) ▪️Baking powder (small pinch)⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ▪️Granulated sweetener (25g/ to taste)⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Filling:⁣ ▪️Low fat thick yogurt/ skyr (100g)⁣ ▪️(Vanilla) protein powder (7g) ▪️Sweetener (to taste)⁣ ▪️Xanthan/guar gum (optional) ▪️Vanilla flavoring (optional) Topping: ▪️Colorful sugar sprinkles (5g) ⁣ Directions:⁣ ▪️Pre heat the oven at 180C⁣⁣ (355F)⁣⁣⁣⁣ ▪️Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks start to form⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ▪️Add the other cake base ingredients and mix carefully with a spoon⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ▪️Put the mixture in a prepared cake shape and bake for +-25 minutes⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ▪️Once finished baking, let it cool⁣⁣⁣ ▪️Mix the yogurt with protein powder and sweetener. If you don’t have protein powder you can technically leave it out, but it adds flavor and thickens the consistency.
