Viví muchos años en Guatemala y Perú, dos países hermosísimos, con heridas abiertas después de sufrir guerras internas sangrientas, en las que los Estados cometieron crímenes atroces, la mayoría de ellos, impunes hasta la fecha. Durante esos años, mientras hablábamos con colegas y amigos, yo les explicaba lo extraordinario que había pasado en mi país con el juicio ejemplar a los criminales de la última dictadura cívico-militar. Sentía un orgullo profundo al decirlo: Argentina como símbolo de humanidad. Ahora, de regreso a mi país, parece que retrocedo con mi cámara. Lo que pasó ayer podría ser Guatemala o Perú, si no fuera porque hay miles que protestan, levantan su voz y se oponen a un pequeño ejército de negacionistas que se reúnen dentro de una institución del Estado a 40 años de la vuelta de la democracia… Nunca más. # I lived for many years in Guatemala and Peru, two very beautiful countries, with open wounds after suffering bloody internal wars, in which the States committed atrocious crimes, most of them, unpunished to date. During those years, while we spoke with colleagues and friends, I explained to them how extraordinary had happened in my country with the exemplary trial of the criminals of the last civil-military dictatorship. He felt a deep pride in saying it: Argentina as a symbol of humanity. Now, back in my country, it seems that I go back with my camera.
