@raven_watches recently launched their Custom Dept. This includes modified Raven watches, parts for Raven Watches, and dials for customizing with other Seiko mod parts that you can purchase from one of the many Seiko Mod websites. Steve Laughlin, owner of Raven, is also creating and selling custom watches with these new dials. The model shown here is one that Steve built recently and allowed me to borrow and share with you. It’s on an FKM rubber strap with the Raven logo on the buckle. I absolutely love the watch, and I think this concept is really cool. Basically, Steve is creating custom builds for clients for a very small assembly fee and mainly charging for the parts. If you’ve ever wanted to customize a watch or get into modding, this is a great place to start. I also really like the Raven Custom Dept. dial that Steve has created for his mods and custom builds. He shares on the website that, “the CUSTOM DEPT. logo is designed to look similar to the Vintage Rolex COMEX dials and also separates the custom watches from the Raven production watches. Combined with the water-resistance blue wave, the CUSTOM logo adds interesting visual graphics to the dial.” Let me know what you think of this watch and the custom concept in the comments below.
