GROCERY HAUL! 🍤🫐🍌 $177.37 spent at @samsclub this week on groceries. 🫠 . This was the LEAST NORMAL week we’ve had in quite some time. My Dad, SIL, MIL & FIL have sequential birthdays at the beginning of September. So we hosted a shrimp boil as a big birthday celebration. Then a few days later we had 24-ish hours with my niece and nephew while their parents headed out to enjoy a kid free wedding. . Here’s what was on the menu for our not so normal week! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 . BREAKFAST 🫐 Yogurt parfaits for my husband. 🧌 Scrounging around at 10am like a hungry bridge troll for me. 😂 Bad planning by the grocery lady. . LUNCH 🧀 Chicken nuggets & grilled cheese 👉🏼 I enjoyed this. I was informed by my n that this was NOT the vibe. 😂 🍴LEFTOVERS! . DINNER 🍤 Shrimp boil 👉🏼 kielbasa, shrimp, potatoes & corn. A delicious one pot meal. We served with some homemade crab cakes as an appetizer. 🍃 Pesto chicken rice bake 👉🏼 this was a new one for us, I thought it was delicious. Rice was a little al dente, but that’s my fault and an easy fix for next time. Flavor was on point. 🥗 Chicken Caesar salad. 🍅 Slow roasted tomatoes & bread 👉🏼 this wasn’t on the menu but I saw a recipe for slow roasted cherry tomatoes stored in olive oil and knew I had to make some. OH. MY. GOODNESS. On fresh bread w/ some goat cheese? Tastes like summer. ☀️ 🥡 Sesame venison 👉🏼 like sesame beef, except not beef. Planning to serve with rice and broccoli. 🌽 Kielbasa & corn 👉🏼 lots of leftover kielbasa and corn not needed from the weekend.
