Spring has well and truly sprung! 🌸 Everything is happening so quickly now. Suddenly every single flower is ready to be cut! (Photos are from a week or so ago.) The weather warmed up early – and then it just kept getting warmer and warmer (it is meant to be nearly 30 tomorrow – eek) and it is incredible to see how quickly these flowers can grow. We are revelling in the happiness that the daisies bring – I really cannot believe how good they all look. You know, I was seriously very nervous in autumn! ☺️ Not only are the flowers looking great (little to no disease/pest issues) but the rows are really a win. We all love them. Easier to support the flowers, easier to cut, and wonderful for running through! 😆 Now, not only do all of these flowers need to be cut, but then the beds need to be replanted as well. I wasn’t expecting it all to happen so fast! 🥵Feels like it is time to sow summer zinnias and amaranths already. I don’t have enough seedlings to replace all the beds and pots now – so I might even do some direct sowing. I was cutting all morning today, and when Robbie gets home, and the flowers recover from the heat, we will have another evening session – with the sun staying up later now and allowing us more time.
