Happy International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies☁️☀️⁣ ⁣ Air pollution is a global problem with far-reaching impacts due to its transboundary nature. What are some impacts of air pollution?⁣ ⁣ ☁️ More than 90% of pollution-related deaths occur in low-income and middle-income countries — pollution is a planetary threat.⁣ 🫁 It affects almost every organ in the body⁣ 🌎 Short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs), black carbon (a component of PM), tropospheric ozone and methane contribute to both the warming of the climate as well as air pollution. These three highly potent pollutants are responsible for 30-40% of the global warming to date⁣ 💧 Air pollution can significantly affect the water cycle.
