Mini Book Reviews Books that came to my house when we needed them. We recently lost my husband’s Grandma. She was an amazing woman who my children got to have in their lives. While we’ve never shade away from the topic of death with my children, it’s always great to have supplements. Books really do help children make sense of things. They help us to talk about hard topics. Thank you to @simonkids for sending these books to our family. The Dreams We Made by: Lisa Bentley. This story is about the loss of a little girl’s father. How she leaned on her mother and continued on after the loss. Always Sisters by: Saira Mir @sairamirbooks this book is about the loss of a sibling, specifically a baby that was never born. This is a topic that I had never thought about for the siblings. What a beautiful book to talk about that loss with other children. Remembering by: Xelena Ginzález @xfactor.live This book is about the loss of a pet. That loss can really be so tough for a child and this is a wonderful book to help them deal with their feelings. I loved this book. Tell me something that has brought you joy this week. For me it was reading special letters my children wrote their great grandmother that she had saved.
