Old world charm complete! We always knew we were going to do something special with the dead space above the refrigerator. But, like everything in this old house it was about finding the time to do it. After returning from Italy last fall, we narrowed down what we would do, but… Designing it to work was another show stopper. Like so many of our projects, we set it aside until we decided on something that we loved. It was important for us to use old beams, have character, be unique and keep the design flowing with the kitchen. One day a couple weeks ago, it came to us and Cam jumped all over it. It took one day to do. A lot of intricate wood working on his side, but we are love with the way it turned out. We are glad to actually use the space above the refrigerator because usually it is just a place to store junk 😆… Does any one else have great ideas to use the dead space above the refrigerator?
