Did you know the story of our Equestrian Masterclass instructor Laura Graves and Verdades? Watch behind the scenes where Laura explains the difficulty she experienced when first purchasing Verdades. She and her parents bought her famous ride (now retired), Verdades, as a foal when Laura was only 15 years old. Growing up in Vermont on a family farm, she taught herself much of what she used in the early days of training “Diddy” from books, videos, and Youtube.  Laura definitely struggled as a teenager trying to train him as an unbroke three-year-old, and at one point even attempted to sell him. He was not confident and was overly reactive. After putting all the hard work in to sell him, she knew she had to go all in - and decided to keep him and continue developing him. After almost quitting the sport to pursue cosmetology in Boston, she moved to Florida and was discovered by the likes of Robert Dover and Debbie McDonald. She and Diddy then became the first Americans to top the FEI Dressage World Rankings. 🦄 Laura resides on her training farm outside of Orlando, FL with her husband Curt and daughter, Mackenzie.
