Seeing all the posts about the Great North Run whilst being stranded in Cologne with 15% battery @ootandabootman is really making me homesick and reminding me just how class Newcastle / the North East is! To everyone heading to bed feeling nervous/excited and everything in between I just wanted to say. Well done pet! Just keep gannin' & divvent give up. Enjoy the day and soak up the atmosphere. You don't realise how friendly Geordies are until you go away & nothing epitomises this spirit than thousands lining the streets to cheer on the runners offering encouragement and a buffet of snacks (the free sweets is my favourite part). I'm missing it this year due to injury but I'll shouting gan on, yiv got this!!! From wherever I end up with @ootandabootman tomorrow. Also, anyone who beats Mo Farah can have a free mug and a card. #greatnorthrun
