I’m not sure what it is with me and managing to get buffalo to die in rivers but here we are again! We spotted 2 old bulls lying down across a valley and the hunt was on, we made a huge loop around and finally got up to them, as I rounded the last corner a herd of zebra had very inconveniently placed themselves between us and the buffalo. Eventually, trying to close the gap a zebra spotted us and got the buffalo moving, our client took a shot hitting it a bit far back! We ran to try cut them off but the bulls crossed infront of us and split up, with our bull going down into so uninhabitably thick brush, after what seemed like hours he eventually made a move and our hunter managed to get another few shots into him across the creek, he eventually rolled over, and then rolled, and rolled and rolled until he finally came to a stop in the river! We approached with caution but he was done for, quickly @jjxwatt got the best photos he could with the limited man power we had! We pulled the guts out and started the long hike out, eventually making it back to camp about 3 hours after dark!
