RECAP💛🖤: What an action-packed two days has it been for Prince Harry at the Invictus Games! 🏋️‍♂️ There is a live stream every day link on my bio! So here's a whirlwind recap of the first two days: 🤝 Harry began by meeting dedicated volunteer leads for @weareinvictusgames, a touching gesture that set the tone for the day. 🇬🇧 Next, he paid a visit to Team UK at the British Consulate in Düsseldorf, joined by Defence Minister Andrew Murrison. Team UK's Johnny Ball summed up Harry’s impact perfectly in a heartfelt tweet! 🏛️ A trip to Düsseldorf Town Hall was met with an enthusiastic crowd of over 500 people, affectionally chanting Harry's name. He was accompanied by the Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf. Inside, reps from all 21 nations waited eagerly. You’ll recall, Meghan and Harry visited this very town hall last year too. 🎉 The long-awaited Opening Ceremony at the Merkur Spiel-Arena drew a crowd of over 20,000! With 21 nations participating, the atmosphere was electric. Harry was visibly delighted throughout the evening, greeted by a minute standing ovation and you could sense the emotion. What a legacy! As Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf, Dr. Stephan Keller eloquently put it: “The esteemed Duke of Sussex. Sir, Dear Duke, your impact on the soldiers and their communities cannot be overstated. We owe you an immeasurable debt of gratitude." 📺 Harry wrapped up the day with a German TV appearance alongside Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and two inspiring Invictus Games participants at ZDF Sports Studio. They took on the goal wall challenge! 🌍 Official games kicked off today in several categories, with Harry continuing to meet more delegation teams and some appearances at games. He'll be in Germany for the entire of the Invictus Games, celebrating his 39th birthday on Friday! Meghan will be joining him soon and will reportedly be a moderator at the closing ceremony.
