Ad/PR Event Well WHAT a weekend that was! The style, the inspiration, the positivity and just the sheer enthusiasm of everyone I’ve met has been magical! I’ve been attending @goodwoodrevival since its very beginning, 25 years ago. I’ve helped push historic cars to the start line; I’ve broken down on motorways in attempts to make it home with a historic motor hitched to the back of our car; I’ve had my favourite shoes covered in hot oil while holding a spanner’s in one hand and a child’s hand in the other - and I’ve watched my husband race to the finish line with my hands clasped anxiously over my eyes. It’s been a fun and exhilarating 25 years, but as obsessed as I am with historic racing and old cars in general, it’s been an incredible honour to be able to take part in the Revive and Thrive area of the event in recent years. Each year, The Revive and Thrive Village celebrates all things vintage, thrifted, upcycled, repaired and sustainable, and showcases panel talks, interviews and stalls filled with experts, designers, crafters and vintage lovers all sharing their vintage style stories and tips as well as the magnificent fruits of their labour. (I even learnt how to make a pair of vintage knickers! ) I wish that I had taken more images of the wonderful outfits, but I was too busy chatting and soaking up the atmosphere. Dates for next year have already been announced, so I’ll pop details on my stories.
