Learning and knowledge extend beyond traditional academics. To foster the all round development of children, they should be provided with opportunities to explore, collaborate, and acquire knowledge through firsthand experiences. This is precisely what I observed at Darpan, an event organized by @thesamhitaacademy for students in Grades 1 & 2. Darpan serves as a platform to showcase various facets of food, festivals, flora and fauna, tourism, and the rich heritage and culture of two states, Karnataka and the union territory, Ladakh. Students were given these topics and asked to take a deep dive into their understanding of the subject and sync it up with creativity. Their imagination took no time to express their knowledge in the form of a variety of comparative & engaging activities, as they expressed their newfound knowledge of their culture & heritage, through art, music, storytelling, and dance. It was such an immersive experience watching young kids perform with great skill & confidence. Kudos to @thesamhitaacademy @jyothisanath & the entire management for curating such unique experiences for young kids & helping them reach their full potential .
