Are you ready? The Australian Bird of the Year poll is back in 2023 – and it’s time to nominate your favourite birds for the shortlist! The polls open on September 25, and we’ll be kicking things off with a shortlist of 50 Australian birds to vote for. It’s a fierce competition and celebration of Australia’s incredible birdlife – but first, it’s up to you to decide what feathered friend you’d like to see featured on this year’s shortlist.
