Delighted to host His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen (@tmski) of Brunei Darussalam 🇧🇳, who is visiting Singapore this week as a Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellow. The Marina Barrage Green Roof was bustling with activity when we were there after our tour of the Sustainable Singapore Gallery! We shared with Prince Mateen our Singapore Green Plan 2030 and Singapore Water Story, and had a great discussion on Singapore’s carbon tax and flood management and coastal protection policies. We reaffirmed the strong cooperation between our countries in the area of sustainability. Since early this year, eggs from Brunei can be found on our supermarket shelves; and we will work together to bring in more food products from Brunei in time to come. Our countries are also actively greening our economies and there is scope to cooperate on carbon markets and carbon capture and storage.
