After recently captured Chitral from #pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan #ttp has released new pictures of its fighters. In these pictures, TTP fighters are seen in sophisticated multi pattern camouflage uniform. They are also seen with state-of-the-art #weapons and #bulletproof vests. They've #ak machine gun pattern rifles, AN/PEQ-2 laser targeting module, M-24 sniper rifles also AN/PVS-7 night vision goggles are visible on the head of the TTP fighters. Recently they had captured Chitral of Pakistan. In this area, TTP has captured 90 #soldiers of #pakistanarmy and killed 11. Who published those photos and videos? Umar Media, The media arm of the TTP. It has significantly enhanced its operations since the #taliban takeover of #afghanistan in 2021. Named after the founder of the Afghan Taliban, Mullah Muhammad Umar, the media group operates under the TTP's "Ministry of Information and Broadcasting". It produces audio, video, and text materials originally in #urdu and #pashto which are mostly reproduced in English, Dari/Persian, and #arabic These include several video series, a daily radio broadcast, a bi-weekly current affairs podcast, an Urdu magazine, and statements on daily attacks and political issues. A senior #pakistani #journalist Mushtaq Yusufzai, revealed in a recent talk show that Umar Media has a young, well-educated staff who monitor local and international media. It has established specific #whatsapp & #telegram channels to widely distribute content.
