Leather Hinge Prototype // FBF ___________ I can’t believe it was way back in Aug 2020 that I made this leather hinge…definitely a fun experiment. Here’s what I wrote back then: I’ve had the idea for a leather hinge for a few weeks, so I did a little experimenting, or I guess prototyping yesterday afternoon to see if I thought it was possible and/or even worthwhile. It would definitely need a little more refinement and precision to work really well and it obviously wouldn’t hold much weight, but it definitely functions and I think they could be a cool accent for things like box lids or binders or something…or maybe not…that’s why we experiment, right?! 🤣 ___________ Let me know what you think of the idea in the comments – is there something here if I refined the design or is this completely unnecessary…which I would be fine with – sometimes these things spark other ideas and that’s sometimes what it’s all about!
