Winning Chicken Sliders Are excited about football being back on? I’m equally excited about game day food. No matter which team you’re going for you will be winning when you make these sliders for the game. Super crunchy chicken on soft @auntmilliesbread slider buns it’s a winning combination. Spicy Buttermilk Dredge 2lbs of Chicken ( I use dark meat) 2Cups of Hot Sauce 2 1/2 Cups of Buttermilk 1 tablespoon of 6 spice seasoning * 2 tablespoon of Season Salt 1 tablespoon of Black Pepper 1 tablespoon of Garlic Powder 1 tablespoon of Paprika 1 teaspoon of Onion powder Canola Oil for deep frying 3 Cups of Flour 1/4 Cup of Cornstarch 3 Garlic Knobs ( with bottoms cut off) Fresh stems of Rosemary Fresh stems of Thyme Mix cleaned chicken and the next 8 ingredients in a Zip Lock bag or Bowl with a tight lid. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2hours no more than 10 hours. Mix flour and cornstarch in bowl for dredge. Method In Cast Iron Skillet or Dutch Oven start warming oil to bring to 350° with 3 garlic bulbs and 2-3 Rosemary and Thyme stems Turn oven on to 300° Remove chicken from marinade. Shake off excess. Dredge in flour mixture. Put on wire rack to allow mixture to dry on chicken for 5 to 8 minutes. Then carefully lower chicken in grease away from you. Don’t overcrowd skillet. Don’t mess with chicken let cook on one side for 8 about minutes or until caramel color. Remove Thyme from oil and put on cooling rack that chicken will go on. Then flip chicken and cook for about additional 6 minutes.
