There’s this film called “Beauty Is Embarrassing”, about Wayne White: a full embodied, influential artist who turned many directions in the name of inspiration. It’s wonderful & inspiring, & goes on to fill in some of the gaps of childhood~ & all this to say how there’s the 1 part in the doc where he’s overtaken by this moment of calm as he takes in this placid meadow before him & says something along the lines of “this is so beautiful it hurts my feelings”. I am brought back to this statement that its had a new home in my own head now for over a decade, & bubbles up so often- like - for 1 example- when I see the morning shadows dance across my walls, bed, wood floors, & in this case- how it played on this raw garnet cuff with its persuasive, illuminating potential.
