Just over here laughing at everyone who still believes hair is what makes someone beautiful! I was watching a programme on Netflix when one of the male contestants wondered to himself “will I still love this women if when I see her for the first time, she was has no hair”. Living with Alopecia is a rollercoaster of emotions & I finally feel like I can brush comments away without them affect my feelings but this comment stuck with me. It’s sad that we still live in a world full of judgment based on our physical looks. If we don’t look like the “typically beautiful” person then we are discarded. When I see myself I no longer see a bald women but a happy, brave, beautiful person who feels no different to anyone else. I’m not embarrassed to say that I feel just as beautiful as the next hairy person! Being a bald women is BEAUTIFUL, is NORMAL & is something to be PROUD of! If you hear or receive comments about your appearance just remember how amazing you are!
