I had not yet realised how valuable and important my role was. That the home was a full time job and deserved to be treated like one. While on the outside it may appear that a woman may “just be home” therefore available any time of day please know that her hands are dipped in many tasks, her mind lost in many crafts, ever learning, ever creating, ever evolving to make the home run smoother and make it feel more beautiful with each day she adorns it and if she has children filling her home well her time is full to the brim and extra precious. So please know it’s not because you aren’t important it’s that she’s making a house a home, living childhoods, preparing meals around the clock.
