NEPAL DIARIES🏔️✨ Trekking from Thagnak to Gokyo was an adventure like no other. And one I was secretly looking forward to the most this trek… 🌟 The journey challenged me with a pretty big glacier to conquer, some distances to cover, heights to ascend, and time to reflect. The path was challenging, but it was all worth it, because at the end of this awesome trek lay a dream I've held for so long: Gokyo Lake. 🌄💙 Little did I know, Abhi had a little surprise in store for me. After two weeks ‘annoying’ him with me—> talking about the ‘gokyo dream…’ he made sure it was what I hoped for 😊 he let me close my eyes and guided by trust, he led me to the edge of the mountain…. The moment he let me open my eyes… I met the shimmering beauty of Gokyo Lake, and I was left breathless. ❤️ for minutes I just could only watch in silence and full of (happy) emotions. I made it…. I made it to gokyo. My body did it. And this realization combined with that view… Pure magic. The sight of Gokyo Lake was a dream come true, a masterpiece painted by Mother Nature herself. 🏞️ ✨ the blue water, the surrounding mountains… I can’t put this into words. Gokyo is a place you have to experience. After putting away our backpacks, we spent the afternoon walking around this beautiful lake and sucking in all the beauty it brings! To end the day with some good fresh popcorn and a plate of dal baht. With a view 🤩 This journey has taught me that sometimes, the best moments are the ones you never see coming. 🙏🏻Grateful for this incredible adventure, the memories etched in my heart, and the magic of the mountains that never ceases to amaze.
