Runners are ready to party at @paratybrazilbyutmb 🇧🇷, already the biggest trail running event in Brazil for its first edition. Setting off from the historical colonial center of Paraty with its famous cobbled streets and elegant white buildings, with colorful doors, the different distances attracted some of the best runners. Let's have a look at the big names on the start lines. Elite Brazilian runner, @fernandamaciel_oficial - winner of the first TDS back in 2009, and with so many podiums on all the most competitive races all around the world, is back in Brazil to race in her country for the first time in ten years, while also marking and celebrating her remarkable recovery having suffered a serious brain injury in a climbing incident over two years ago. Taking on the technical 50km course, she will join many other South American elite runners looking to grab the opportunity to race on home soil, including @ivaniarambo (🇧🇷, UTMB Index 678), @susanyperardt (🇧🇷, 665) in the women’s 🟩 100K elite field and @rogerio.silvestrin (🇧🇷, 851) and Cleverson Luis Del Secchi - @fantasma_cle (🇧🇷, 816) in the men’s 🟩 100K elite field. The shorter but no less brutal 🟧 50K is described as one of the most challenging courses in Brazil, with technical trails that will keep runners on their toes from start to finish. Dário Moitoso - @moitoso18 (🇵🇹, 851), with his 3rd place at the beginning of the season on Istria 100 by UTMB, will probably fight with @eder__belmont (🇲🇽, 836) for a first win on the circuit. In the women's field, the road is open for a Brazilian victory, especially with @frankiekow (🇧🇷, 666) 10th at Val d'Aran by UTMB this season.
