• getting to Macao via Hong Kong • review in caption 👇 Decided to try out a different way of getting to Macao this trip (there is direct flight from SG to Macao on Scoot) because this gives more flexibility in terms of travel and I also managed to visit both Hong Kong & Macao! Since I get seasick easily, we decided to take the bus instead of the ferry, it is also a more affordable option, especially if you're heading straight to/fro the Hong Kong International Airport, since the HKZM Port is only 1 bus stop from the airport! How we got there: • we were at downtown area and tbh you can also choose to take buses chartered by private bus companies, but the HKZM bridge way seem to be more time efficient. • We took an Uber from downtown to HKZM port. Journey was 25 minutes, around 240HKD. If you're going from the airport, it's only 5 minutes by bus and 9HKD. • signs at the HKZM port immigration clearance building is so huge that it is impossible to miss, and there are staff stationed to assist you too! Most speak Cantonese and Mandarin, some speak English • bus ticket is purchased after clearing the immigration, at 65HKD each, per way. The ticketing machines only accept alipay and local payment methods so we had to buy our tickets manually at the counter. • buses run every 5-10 minutes, journey takes 45 minutes. • if you're unlucky and you meet rowdy passengers, I feel you 😂 thankfully our journey back was so peaceful I fell asleep 😴 • immigration was very smooth for us! To be honest, this felt like crossing SG-JB Causeway without a single jam, with aircon and clean. Will recommend, and it's actually a 24/7 bus service!! #TravelwithXL #XLinMacao
