FEELING STUCK? DO THESE 8 THINGS: 1. Frame challenges as opportunities. “I get to do this” rather than “I have to do this” or “This gives me the chance to learn and grow” rather than “I am scared to fail”. 2. Do the hard thing first and stop putting it off (everything that follows will feel easier). 3. Remember, you don’t have to be great to start…but, you need to start to be great. So, let’s get started! 4. Don’t be envious, be proactive. Let what they have inspire you to work towards what you want. Often times, we see their end result and not the work that got them here. There are no shortcuts. Spend less time comparing your progress to one chapter of their story when you don’t have access to the rest of their book. 5. Seek feedback from people you respect and ask for accountability. 6. Show up. Most of the time, that’s the hardest part. It will give you the strength you need to accept where you are now and the courage to move forward into the unknown. 7. Save your energy and explanations for those that want to understand you. Give your silence to those who are determined to misunderstand you. 8. Remember that life is not tiring, but wanting life to be a certain way but not taking the action needed to make it that way will exhaust you. Do something everyday to take you closer to where you want to be (and don’t worry if it feels like it’s not happening as fast as you want because your direction is more important than your speed and baby steps will still move you forward).
