The Hamilton Spectator’s Readers Choice Awards are a ballot stuffing farce. There must be a better way to do this as every year I laugh when Twisted Lemon wins basically every category because they’re the only restaurant in town whose patrons still receive a physical copy of the newspaper (shout out to my parents for keeping the tradition alive so I still have something to fill void space inside of cardboard boxes with). However, a broken clock is right two times a day and there’s a couple categories that the paper relic did get right. Examples such as honouring our friend from @berniestavern, @chefmitchferron with an award and crowning @maipaitiki the kings of their craft in the city. If you haven’t been, it’s finally time to make a reservation. Take out is fine but the dine-in experience is truly what it’s all about. Layers of Tiki decorations for ambience with top notch service and of course Hamilton’s, probably Ontario’s, maybe even Canada’s best pizza. Now it’s time for me to track down some newspaper to wash my windows with. Moooooom!!!
