For the record it will never get easier, for me 😢For the last 18-years I have loved him, cherished him, and fiercely protected him. Then before any of us are ready, we wait in a line, quickly unpack a few boxes of his belongings into his tiny dorm room. Then we hug him tight, remind him we will love him always and forever. And, then tonight we drive home with one emptier seat and a lump in our throat. It’s hard. And, I know it’s not just hard on me, Mike and Owen. But, it’s also hard on all of the siblings as well.
