Well…. This first picture is full circle. When sistercircle was canceled, I was devastated. Devastated because our voices were shunned in a time of oppression and turmoil when it was needed the most, during the pandemic and all of the injustices we watched with our very own eyes… Then came “Cocktails with the Queens”…..It was the extension of the voice of the black woman that was missing , but via zoom, because that was all that we had at the time. Each week, I got to share a space and opinion with three beautiful queens through, birthdays, holidays, etc for 3 years… We built an amazing bond, and Then THAT voice was taken away…. But GOD! @duboseofficial did not give up on our culture or our voices and created @intheblacknetwork by us and for us! Not only did he recreate a NEW show showcasing the hearts and minds of the black woman, but he brought all of the content that was created from his previous platform by us that he could, to this new platform. I am grateful to still be in the talk space, 6 years straight!! It is obvious that God has a word he wants to get out of me more than through just song. I’ve been writing thoughts for decades and singing them, but my second act is to simply speak them…This stage, was where us at cocktails with the queens was trying to get to for those three years. That stage I knew so well from Sistercircle and because of the pandemic, it even took my performance stage. God has brought me full circle. He knows I have a service to provide and I intend to be obedient and do just that…SERVE.
